For many years, my illustrations were characterized by highly textured coloured pencil layers rendered over watercolour washes. More recently I have transferred the same technique to computer artwork, using a Wacom pen/tablet to draw individual “pencil” strokes onto the digital canvas.
My work has been shortlisted for the Amelia Frances Howard-Gibbon Illustrator’s Award, as well as the Mr. Christie’s Book Award, and my illustrations in both traditional and digital media appear in more than a dozen picture books as well as children's novels, textbooks and anthologies.
